For the 2017-2018 academic year, YAASPA was a part of the Aurora Education Coalition to encourage and increase support for multilingual students in Aurora Public School's ACTION Zone. Youth co-created the idea of having a multi-lingual peer ambassador program based upon their survey findings that indicated over 80% of multi-lingual youth didn't feel welcome in their schools.
