Volunteering shows the attribute of social awareness and provides a heightened sense of self.  Too many times we talk about getting involved with crisis' facing our communities, but don't act upon them.  There's a crisis in our community of youth not graduating college, institutions of higher learning not retaining our youth and youth not engaging in their communities socially and politically.  Here are some ways you can help change this social and educational climate.

How to get involved:

        Volunteer?

Volunteering one's time shows youth that they are important to the community.  This also shows leadership and leads to possibilities of youth themselves volunteering their time in the future.  By doing so, you are helping to progress their social learning, enhance their educational environment as well as impact the overall experience the youth have.  Below is a list of some ways you can get involved with YAASPA:

• Allow a YAASPA youth to shadow you in your career
• Provide an internship
• Participate and provide support at YAASPA events
  
• Provide a volunteer opportunity

YAASPA is a unique and critical link to youth in the community.  In order to provide the programs and scholarship opportunities for youth in need, it is imperative that YAASPA generate funds to perform these vital services for the community's youth.  Below are some ways that you can contribute to the advancement of our youth:

• Your time
• Make a monetary contribution
• Associate donation of $250
• Bachelor donation of $500
• Masters donation of $1,000
• Doctorate donation of $5,000+
• All donations made here go to the general fund pool for the benefit of all programs.
• Scholarship fund
• Graduation banquet
• Become a program Sponsor
• Post-secondary transitions program
• Social and Political Activism program (SPA program)
• Service Learning
  
• Ask us about contribution levels for the program sponsors
• Materials, supplies and educational tools
• In-kind donations
• These donations can be made in any denomination and will also be placed into the general funds pool
